Karst honey

In the Karst, beekeeping has centuries of tradition. A very rich flora as well as pedologic and climate conditions are a basis for Karst honey, which is distinguished by minerals, enzymes and richness of aromas.

Typical Karst honeys are produced from mahaleb cherry, winter savory, accacia, wild cherry, meadow sage, chestnut, oak, linden, buckwheat and ivy.

Because of the unique natural conditions, an association of beekeepers has protected their product »KRAŠKI MED« (Karst honey) with a gegraphical designation.
