The exhibition wishes to present visitors with life during the war in the Karst, especially in the Komen Karst between 1915 and 1917. The panel contents and their organisation inform visitors about the life of the locals until their departure to refugee camps, the destiny of villages and places occupied by the Austro-Hungarian soldiers, the rear and logistics infrastructure and war machinery located in this area until the end of World War I and the military cemeteries that still remind us of the cruel war storm that raged in the entire Karst that was part of the Isonzo Front. Visitors will learn about the faith of the Karst locals during World War I and remnants from this area that have been preserved up to now and are included in the tourist offer of the Karst. For a better orientation, the exhibition also features a map of the Walk of Peace in the Karst on which the war heritage as well as cultural and natural sights in the area are marked.
