Are you arriving in Štanjel as an organised group? Here is some key information for you.

Reservation of guided tours

You can choose from among many guided tours and experiences. Prior reservation is required for guided group tours, at least five days in advance, to our e-mail address: info@visitstanjel.si. The person accompanying a group of at least 20 people gets free entry.

Access for organised groups

There is not enough space for buses to park or turn so a special traffic regime applies to them. Upon arriving in Štanjel, bus passengers must disembark at the bus stop on the main regional road. Buses should then continue in the direction of Branik, i.e. Nova Gorica, and after 500 m turn at the turning point located on the right side of the road. The road continues to the village of Kobjeglava where free parking is available for buses near the Community Culture Centre at Kobjeglava 75. From there, a bus returns to pick up the group and, upon leaving, turns around at the macadam turning point at the foot of Štanjel.
